The Perennial Plant & Book Sale which was held on Saturday, June 4, was a smashing success – thanks to all of you who pitched in to make it happen. The sale was co-sponsored by The Friends of the Cook Memorial Library and Carroll County Altrusa, and the proceeds will support the goals of these two worthy non-profits. Here’s to all the generous community members who donated plants from their gardens for the sale, and all the people who showed up and bought plants, books and raffle tickets. And here’s to GrowGood Greenhouse, Indian Mound Hardware, Cathy Mersfelder, Donna Whipple, and Spruce It Up Interiors for donating such fine raffle items.
In case you are curious about the winners…
~ Bucket of Garden Hand Tools from Donna Whipple – Melissa Frase
~ 4 bags Miracle Gro Potting Soil (1 cu ft. ea.) from Indian Mound Hardware – won by Gus Dascoulias, Nate Hughes, Matt MacDonald & Kathy Summerville.
~ 12″ Hanging Basket – GrowGood Greenhouses – Paul King
~ $25 Gift Certificate – Millie Streeter
~ Basket of Garden Herbs from Cathy Mersfelder – Ruth Timchak
