seed share

Planning your garden? Remember, we have a help yourself Seed Share, thanks in large part to Paul King and Hope Requardt, local seedsavers who provided seeds to start things off.

How Seed Swap works: Bring your surplus seeds to trade, or just take some or leave some. We’ve repurposed some old catalog file drawers to organize the seeds and have envelopes and small bags to put seeds in.

We’ll accept commercial seeds and seeds you’ve saved from your garden. If you’re bringing saved seeds, we prefer open pollinated varieties, and seeds that were organically grown. If you’re bringing commercial seed, it will help if you keep them in original packaging.

Seed Share seeds will be available at the library all spring. You are welcome to come share or swap seeds whenever the library is open.
