Section II J. Jury Duty (Revised 1-13-14)

1 – Non-exempt (hourly ) employees:
Non-exempt employees will not be paid for scheduled work time they miss when on jury duty. When practical, they will be given an opportunity to make up any time missed.

2 – Exempt (salaried) employees:
Exempt employees’ pay will not be reduced because of an absence for jury duty, and the absence will not count as vacation time. Any stipend received will be deducted from pay only if necessary to cover expenses incurred by the library due to the employee’s absence, and if allowed by current NH state law.

3 – In all cases, the library will conform to current NH state laws and regulations governing jury duty absences and stipends.
