Blog posts

The word “blog” is short for “Web log,” and refers to short (and sometimes not-so-short) entries made by the operator of a website. Readers have the opportunity to comment and start a dialog, which makes the blog format an essential tool of “social networking” on the Web.

Blog posts on all pages of this website are organized in reverse chronological order, with the most recent at the top of the page. The newest ten blog posts show, and the rest are archived and can be read by clicking on “previous” at the bottom of the page. Blog posts are all posted on the home page and also posted on other pages that are most pertinent to the subject of the post. A bit of redundancy is the price we pay to be sure that a particular post catches the eye of its targeted audience.

The easiest way to find a blog post on a certain subject – kids’ programs, events, Act films – is to type the keyword(s) into the search box on the navigation bar and then click search. To limit your search to items about the library click ‘Blog & Pages’ on the right, just below ‘Searching In.’

If you are only interested in “Events,” click on “Events” on the navigation bar above.
