Spring is here and the Friends of Cook Memorial Library in Tamworth are holding their annual Plant & Book Sale on Saturday, June 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in front of the library. Locally grown quality plants and seedlings from DiFilippe Greenhouse will be on sale, including flowers, herbs and vegetables. The sale is one of several Tamworth activities that day including the opening of the Farmers’ Market and a perennial plan sale at the village’s four corners.

The Annex used book room at the library will be open, and other Friends’ items such as notecards and totebags will be on sale. The event is held rain or shine. All proceeds from the event go to the Friends and benefit the library and its programs. Gently used book donations are welcome, and can be left at the library during open hours: Tuesday and Wednesday, 10am-8pm, or Friday and Saturday, 10am-4pm. For more information, call the Cook Library, 323-8510.
