PostSecret is an ongoing community mail art project, created by Frank Warren in January 2005, in which people mail their secrets anonymously to him on a homemade postcard. Selected secrets are then posted on the PostSecret website, or used for PostSecret’s books or museum exhibits. PostSecret is the largest advertisement-free blog in the world. Its visitor count is 314,279,970 as of March 2010, and this number is more than the entire population of the United States (303,500,000 in early 2008). PostSecret has spawned both books and YouTube videos.a sizable archive.
This extraordinary and revolutionary piece of online conceptual art has created a public speaking career for Frank Warren, and inspired offshoots in other countries.
With permission from Warren, a French version of PostSecret was launched in October 2007 under the name PostSecretFrance, and in February 2008, a German version was started as PostSecret auf Deutsch. There is also one in Spanish called Los Secretos Dominicales and now a Chinese version PostSecretChina. The Chinese blog is not officially affiliated with PostSecret. On 23rd January 2010, PostSecretUK (English version) was launched. Like the Chinese version, it is not officially affiliated with PostSecret, but full credit is given to Warren and the original PostSecret.

The library has a copy of the first book, published by Frank in fall of 2005, and called PostSecret: Extraordinary Confessions from Ordinary Lives. Come on in and check it out!
