On Wednesday, June 8th at 6:30 pm, Cook Memorial Library in Tamworth will show the movie Under Our Skin. This is a gripping tale of microbes, medicine & money, and exposes the hidden story of Lyme disease, one of the most serious and controversial epidemics of our time. Each year, thousands go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed, often told that their symptoms are all in their head. Following the stories of patients and physicians fighting for their lives and livelihoods, the film brings into focus a haunting picture of the health care system and a medical establishment. Here are some press clips about the film.

After the movie Dr. Steve Clark, a licensed primary care Naturopathic Doctor in Wolfeboro, will answer questions and facilitate a discussion about Lyme disease. Dr. Clark has studied Lyme treatments and follows ILADS guidelines which he combines with integrative individualized treatment. He is a Lyme literate doctor and uses a variety of Lyme testing, in addition to conventional testing, to identify and treat cases more effectively.

Sean Cobb tends to his wife Mandy Hughes as she suffers a seizure in UNDER OUR SKIN, a film by Andy Abrahams WIlson.
This is a free movie and discussion is open to all. Call the library at 323-8510 for more information.
