Cook Memorial has been providing access to Overdrive’s downloadable audios since February 2007. Audios and ebooks are now available to patrons with just about every device out there; including MP3 players, iPods, iTouches, Smartphones, Androids, Nooks, Kindle, Sony eReaders, iPads and other tablets. As of December 2011, there are 7854 titles, of both audiobooks and ebooks, for patrons of all ages.

To browse, select and download your audios. Click here. The first thing you will need to do is check for the compatibility of your device. You will need a 4-digit prefix and your patron id number to access this service so call us 323-8510 and we’ll tell you your access number.

As stated on the Overdrive site, you will need Overdrive Media Console software to download audios, and a security update to Windows Media Player in order to download the titles you want to sync them to whatever device you have. Be sure to look carefully at the information for “New Users” on the left side of the screen.
