The Libri Foundation of Eugene, Oregon has awarded Cook Memorial Library $1406 worth of books for the children’s collections. Our Friends of the Library Group put up $350 in matching funds to receive this windfall of children’s books. The 78 titles given are of very high quality, with many award-winners. The subjects in non-fiction include: history, biography, technology, astrobiology, forensics, and many other topics of current interest. Twenty-nine new picture books, both fiction and non-fiction, will delight our youngest patrons, and our juvenile and young adult readers will find something of interest as well. We received so many books that the fiction is above filling the table, and the non-fiction is below.
We will have all the Libri Foundation books on display on Tuesday, November 15th. Come in and take a look at this reading bounty for the children of Tamworth.
