As you know, we updated our automation system in June. We’ve spent the busy summer getting used to it.
There are a few cool new features we’d like patrons to know about. If you go to our online catalog and bookmark it so you can find it again and open it in a new window, please take note on the upper left of the screen, it says “Browse New Items”.
If you pull down the menu, you can find all our recent acquisitions in whichever format you desire: audios, videos or books. It’s an online version of our “New Book” cart in the library. Note: there is a link on the right side of the library’s homepage to “New items” as well.
Notice on the right side of the screen that you can log in with a login and password.
If you haven’t already been given a password by a CML librarian, request one by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or stop by the desk the next time you’re in the library. We’ll happily set one up for you.
Once you’ve successfully logged in, you should change your password so it is known only to you. By logging in, you can access your reading history (or opt not to save it); renew and reserve; make purchase suggestions; save lists (as many as you like) of things you want to read; set your own level of privacy; set your email messaging; make comments on titles you like or don’t like; and create tags.
