The Library will be closed Friday & Saturday, December 19th & 20th – your library cards are good at Madison Library

Consider using the Madison Library on Friday, December 20th open 10-6, and Saturday, December 21st open 9-1. Your Cook library cards work there too.

The library will be doing a major renovation in the attic, starting on Thursday, December 18th. Our roof is deteriorating because of ice damming caused by inadequate insulation in the attic. Quality Insulation will be spraying R30 loose cellulose insulation as well as installing additional fiberglass insulation. Because of the off-gassing, the library has to be closed for twenty-four hours after the insulation is sprayed.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this closing may cause our patrons.

What does a library do when they need an insulation job done in the last month of the year and there is no money left in the operating budget? They go to the Tamworth Foundation which promptly promises the needed funding. The project is funded by the last of Cook Library’s Capital Reserve Fund, an anonymous donor, and bless their hearts, The Tamworth Foundation. How lucky Tamworth is to have this Daddy Warbucks of a non-profit in our town.

On behalf of all who work for and patronize the library, a big Shout Out for The Tamworth Foundation.
