20150910_150103This year’s 1 Book 1 Valley marks the tenth time this successful regional community read program has taken place. This year’s book is Euphoria by Lily King. Stop in and pick up a copy soon.

Cook Memorial Library’s 1 Book 1 Valley events are:

  • Book Discussion of Euphoria by Lily King, Wednesday, October 14 at 7 pm.
  • Book Discussion of Composing a Further Life by Mary Catherine Bateson, Wednesday, October 28 at 12 noon. Bateson is Margaret Mead’s daughter and an anthropologist of note. Books will be available to borrow at the end of September.
  • Spirit of Place: Native Lands and Cultures of the American Southwest, Wednesday, October 28 at 7 pm. At this NH Humanities Council program, Patrick Anderson will discuss history of ancient sites such as Mesa Verde, Chaco Canyon, Hovenweep, and Canyon de Chelly.
