Cook Library is holding a drop-in family/friends project for school vacation, thanks to a wonderful donation of boxes and boxes of Legos from the Pariseau Family!
Our big downstairs meeting room will become a Lego construction zone beginning on Monday, December 28 through Friday, January 8, during regular library hours. You are welcome to drop in the library anytime during regular library hours over these two weeks to participate. Come on your own or bring a group together (family, friends, etc.) Choose one of the buildings from Tamworth Village (Lyceum, Barnstormers Theatre, Town Hall, our own Cook Library …) and make your best attempt at recreating a model of that building out of Legos here at the library.
If you want to do this at home with your own Legos, please do. Bring your creation to the library before January 8 marked with your name and contact info so we can get your Legos back to you after we take photos.
If you want, you may borrow our iPad to take photos of the buildings to help plan your construction.
We’ll document the results with a panoramic photo and save it for posterity as one of the events that happened during Tamworth’s 250th Anniversary year.
