Jay Rancourt painting

Our Art Show for January and February will feature work by our former Library Director Jay Rancourt. Jay will show watercolors, and a few pastels, all painted during 2015. “It had been several years since I had done any painting at all. My single goal with this work was to enjoy the process, and not stress that it wasn’t good enough.  I painted from the windows of my house, out in the fields and woods, during my kayak trips to Maine islands, and with my painter’s group from photos I had taken. Renewing my painting practice gave me great pleasure and helped me remember how complex and beautiful the world is. I hope you enjoy the exhibit.”

There will be an artist’s reception at Cook Memorial Library at 4:30 on Wednesday, January 13th. Refreshments will be served.
