Come join a multi-generational learn together community project. Adults and kids over 11 are welcome to participate.
Goal: We’re going to build a tiny drone with a camera to use to take aerial photos of summer events for the Tamworth 250th.
Idea: We’ll meet several times between now and end of June. We’ll work together to build drone, learn to operate, add a camera, research current regulations, and create a user’s guide with rules for safe operation.
Part 1: Thursday, May 19, 4 pm. Meet at Conway Public Library to make the airframe for our drone using their 3-D printer. To see the model we’re going to build, visit http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1098831.
Part 2: Thursday, May 26, 4 pm, drone demo by Riley Stewart. Come see a drone in action. Meet at library, we will go to a nearby location with lots of open space and where we have permission to fly. If raining or too windy, this will be cancelled.
Part 3: Saturday, May 28, 10 am – 1 pm, we will begin assembling our drone. People with soldering experience are especially welcome.
More sessions will be scheduled in June to complete drone, learn to operate it, and choose and add a wifi camera.
