The Tamworth libraries will have a table at the Tamworth Economic Development Commission’s Street Fair on Saturday, August 6th. We’ll be right in front of the Cook Memorial Library from 9 am to 3 pm with a variety of books and reading with Tamworth connections.
- Local authors will be showing, selling and signing copies of their books throughout the day. Here’s the schedule (times are approximate):
- 9 am: Christina Albert & Rosy Lamb
- 9:30 am: John Sedgwick, Rana Foroohar, and maybe Alex Kanevsky
- 10 am: Grace Payne
- 11 am: Joan Vincent
- 11:30 am: Clapham (Cope) Murray
- 12:00 noon: Louise Taylor
- 1:00 pm: Peggy Johnson
- 2:00: Potluck!
- Friends of Cook Memorial Library will hold their monthly book sale in the Annex (downstairs at the library) from 10 am to 12 noon.
- A selection of vintage local history books will be for sale, including High Sheriff, Look to the Mountain, Tamworth Recollections, more.
- Cook Library’s brand new art exhibit catalog will be for sale for $2.50. Plan some time to take a look at the exhibit inside the library, “From Tamworth Walls: Art with a Story,” the library’s art exhibit to celebrate Tamworth’s 250th anniversary, on display through the end of August.
