FCGH logoOn Wednesday, November 2 at 7 pm, we will welcome John Galluzzo from the Foundation for Coast Guard History, who will give a talk on the history of the U.S. Coast Guard. Coast Guard veterans are especially invited to attend.

Galuzzo is a maritime historian, author, and honorary life member of the Foundation for Coast Guard History. He is coauthor of The Pendleton Disaster Off Cape Cod: The Greatest Small Boat Rescue in Coast Guard History, published in 2007.

This presentation is the final One Book One Valley program for 2016. This year’s One Book One Valley community read was the book The Finest Hours: The True Story of the U.S. Coast Guard’s Most Daring Sea Rescue by Michael Tougias and Casey Sherman. Coauthor Michael Tougias spoke in North Conway on October 27 as part of this program.
