- We collaborate on programs with community organizations like Tamworth History Center, Tamworth Community Nurses, Remick Museum, UNH Cooperative Extension/4-H and more.
- We deliver materials to shut-ins and people who have no transportation to get to the library. Download an application for delivery here: Home Delivery Application. Volunteers are needed to expand this service, let us know if you’re interested in volunteering.
- We visit K.A. Brett School several times a year and host visits to the library by local schools and Tamworth Recreation program.
- We share resources with other libraries:
- Interlibrary loan is a long-standing service that gives our library card holders the ability to request and borrow library material from just about every New Hampshire library, including academic libraries at Dartmouth and UNH, and also some out of state and country libraries. Generally free of charge, occasionally there will be a charge because some out-of-state libraries have fees for their services. If you don’t see an item you’d like to borrow listed in our catalog, please ask, often we can borrow it from another library.
- Our online catalog and circulation system is shared with two other libraries, Madison Library and Jackson Public Library, saving each of our libraries thousands of dollars since we started the Northern NH Library Cooperative in 2013.
- Our library is a member of NH Downloadable Books, a statewide ebook and audiobook lending service, coordinated by the NH State Library. We are happy to help you figure out how this service works with your combination of devices, please ask us.
- We welcome invitations to come talk about our library and library services to your community group, please contact us!
