Marge Kendrick at workSadly, Marge Kendrick passed away at the end of January in Montana, where she had moved this past fall to be closer to family. Known in Tamworth and throughout New Hampshire as a fine artist and teacher, Marge left a lasting legacy of art and shared knowledge that we remember and celebrate.

Marge was a long-time member of the Friends of Cook Memorial Library. Marge’s artwork has been featured on notecards sold by the Friends as one of their ongoing fundraisers for a number of years. The Friends will continue to have these notecards for sale; Cathy Mersfelder has taken on the project of notecard production using materials donated by Marge.

Before moving to be with family this past fall, Marge donated a number of paintings to the library, asking that they be used to benefit the library. Some will remain in the library’s art collection, others will be used to raise funds for the library. We fondly remember Marge and gratefully acknowledge her artistic and charitable gifts. We will miss her laugh!
