On Wednesday, April 18 at 7:00 pm, we’ll be treated to poems, prose, and songs by local artists. Join us to listen as poet Bruce Lloyd, writer Matt Doucet, and singer-songwriter Peg Loughran share some of their work.
Peg started playing the guitar and performing in Tamworth, NH in the 80’s playing at the Tamworth Inn on Sunday evenings. She has released two albums, the first, Crossing Over, recorded in Seattle and the second, La Belle Dame sans Merci, recorded in NH. These days Peg splits her days between baking and playing guitar and banjo and has written a pile of new songs (and baked piles of bread). Influenced by traditional American fiddle tunes, swing music and even some blues and bluegrass, she sings of the civil war era, colonial times, the Basque country, as well as writing off- beat love songs, to people, places and even birds!
