Tamworth has been and is home to more poets per capita than most towns – or so it sometimes seems. A few of the local poets meet and work together once a month during the winter months, and they are going to gather to close the month of poetry at the Cook Memorial Library on Monday, April 30, for an hour of reading aloud starting 1:00 p.m.
They will read from their own work, from their own favorite other poets, and from a rich cache of poetry housed in our history room downstairs, the Ulitz Room.
You are invited to drop in any time during the hour, or come for the whole hour. Being read to aloud is one of our favorite pleasures.
