Tom Sanderson, Beirut 2014

Join us on Wednesday, February 27 at 7:00 p.m. as we welcome Tom Sanderson, who will share his research and analysis of Global Disruptive Forces (GDF).

Geostrategic friction, frontier markets, cyber threats, trade wars, energy, terrorism, global health, corruption, demographics—Global Disruptive Forces draws on 25 years of field-work across 70 countries, revealing the texture, connectivity, and implications of the challenges confronting the world. Sources include private sector leaders, government officials, violent extremists, academics, traffickers, clergy, refugees, and NGOs. Film, photos, and interviews from boardrooms to war zones offer vivid testimony and analysis along the frontlines of global risk and transformation.

Tom Sanderson is a consultant and the co-founder and former director of the Transnational Threats Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Sanderson is a course instructor for the U.S. Government, provides detailed briefings to U.S. and foreign intelligence partners, and delivers global risk assessments and advisory services for the private sector, media, NGOs, and academia.
