On Wednesday, March 27 at 7:00 pm, local mountain climber, guide, and writer Nick Aiello-Popeo will talk about a recent ice-climbing adventure.

Nick has spent countless winter days refining his technique in the White Mountains. In the fall of 2017, he and another young guide took the skillset honed in New Hampshire and attempted an unclimbed Himalayan giant: the 20,577-foot-tall Baihali Jot. Their months-long expedition was far more adventurous than the two New Englanders had anticipated, and climbing a remote 5,000-foot ice wall is but a small part of their story. Nick will share his tale of the interplay between our local crags and his high altitude expeditions.
