Did you know our library was the first to have a Library Telescope? Ten and half years ago, this Orion StarBlast arrived, fully kitted out for people to check out (with reinforced connections, laminated instructions, accessories) by Marc Stowbridge, South Tamworth’s resident astronomer, and the creator of the Library Telescope program.

Today there are Library Telescopes in 41 states and beginning last year, the program has expanded beyond the United States to the U.K.

Find easy to follow instructions on using the telescope at https://www.librarytelescope.org/how-to-use/get-started, and plan to borrow it soon!

Library telescope is 10 years old!
