Chocorua Lake Conservancy is bringing two winter ecology programs to our library in January. On Wednesday, January 22 at 7:00 p.m., Lynne Flaccus, naturalist and Chocorua Lake Conservancy Stewardship Director will present “Winter Wonderland: How Animals Adapt to Cold and Snow.” This talk is free and open to the public.
Come to the library on Saturday, January 25, 1:00-5:00 p.m. for a Winter Wonderland Crankie workshop with naturalist and artist Lynne Flaccus and writer/artists Peggy Johnson and Juno Lamb. Learn how plants adapt to winter and create communal poetry and art about winter ecology. Workshop is free; donations appreciated. All ages welcome—kids 10 and under, please bring a helpful adult.
Find more info about both programs at www.chocorualake.org or call 603-323-6252.
