Belle Stafford will share pictures and stories of her recent month-long trip to Nepal. She travelled in a small group around Kathmandu Valley with Nepalese tribal shaman Bhola Nath Banstola. The group trip coincided with Dashain, the nine day festival of the Goddess, where they learned specific ceremonies that corresponded to each of the nine days. They visited other local shamans and many holy sites around this sacred city. She will describe her experience in the context of Shamanism and how this ancient healing tradition is alive today and pertinent in the modern world.
