**Water testing kits (while they last) are available outside the library entrance door. Return them by noon on Friday, Nov. 13. **
Join us on Zoom for an online drinking water workshop on Tuesday, November 10 at 6:30 p.m. Tara Schroeder, Education Coordinator at the Green Mountain Conservation Group, will provide a presentation about drinking water based on the Groundwater Education Through Water Evaluation and Testing program. Learn about our local water resources, groundwater research, common contaminants, how to get your well tested, and actually get your well water tested for six different parameters for free!
There will also be a Q&A session with opportunities for participants to take home a well testing kit, learn more information on specific contaminants, and learn more about GMCG’s water monitoring programs and findings. This program is made possible by support from The Tamworth Foundation.
Participants will be instructed on how to sample their home well water to then return a water sample to the library in an outside cooler. GMCG staff will then test water samples at their lab and provide the results to participants.
