Because storytimes and other library and community programs will continue to be held outdoors into the winter, we’d like to help everyone be warm enough to enjoy them. So, we are organizing a “winterwear share” for Saturday, November 14.
To get ready, we are seeking donations of gently used coats, hats, mittens, gloves, and other winter outerwear.
- Wash all items first
- Bring them to the library on Saturday, November 7, Monday, November 9, or Tuesday, November 10
- All sizes, from infant to adult, are welcome
All donated items will be set aside to quarantine for at least 72 hours before we offer them to our community.
Outside under the tents at the library, come find coats, hats, mittens, and other clean, warm winter outerwear donated by neighbors.* Wear a mask and use the provided hand sanitizer before making any selections.
*PLEASE do not bring winterwear to share to this event. We had collected coats, hats, mittens on November 7, 9 & 10 so they could “quarantine” for three days in order to make this event as safe as possible.
