We had a wonderful response to our library’s Face to Face: Zoom Conversations with Neighbors series held in January and February 2021. Thank you to all who shared their knowledge and to all who attended.

We will continue scheduling these online conversations on an occasional basis. For March 2021, we offer:

Wednesday, March 10 at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom: Crystal Sawyer of Carroll County Adult Education will talk about their programs, including diploma, HiSET test prep, ESL and citizenship classes, and the opportunity for Tamworth residents to enroll at no cost for both HiSET and high school diploma programs thanks to the Tamworth Foundation. CCAE has a location right here in Tamworth, come learn about the good work they do and how they support students beyond graduation. Join the meeting at https://bit.ly/CCAEatCook.

Wednesday, March 31, 6:30 p.m.: Betsy Loughran will read from her new memoir, Letters from the Attic, which is based on letters her mother wrote to her grandmother between 1929 and 1954. Her mother was a rather wild teenager during the 1920s, then lived around the corner from Hitler in Munich, Germany in the early 1930s, and later was a young mother in Washington DC during World War II. Come with your experiences and questions in writing your family stories. Join the meeting at http://bit.ly/lettersattic.

If you have an idea for a Face to Face conversation speaker/topic, please let our programming librarian Amy Carter know.
