The Friends of Cook Memorial Library and Carroll County Altrusa are pleased to be able to offer their cooperative fundraiser again this spring! The Perennial Plant Sale will take place on Saturday, June 5 from 9 am to 1 pm in (new location!) front of the K.A. Brett School on Route 113 (alongside the Tamworth Farmers’ Market). Plants are all donated by local gardeners, making this a good place to find a plant that will work in your own garden.
The Calendar Raffle is back! Purchase one calendar ticket with 30 chances to win prizes for $5, or buy 5 calendar tickets for $20. Friends of CML and Altrusa will sell raffles at the Tamworth Farmers’ Markets on May 15, 22, and 29. You may also purchase tickets at the library during regular hours.
To donate plants from your garden to the sale, dig them and divide them well ahead of the sale to give them time to recover and get healthy. Pots are available to the right of the entrance of the library if you need them. Please water and care for the plants, then bring them to plant sale set up after 3 PM on Friday, June 4 at the K.A. Brett School. If you need to donate your plants sooner, they can be dropped off with Diane Robinson or Annie Burke, who will take care of them until the sale. Call the library to ask about that.
