Norma Grasse has brought us a fun group quilt project to take us through the winter and into the spring.

On Friday, November 19 at 11:00 AM, and again on Saturday, November 20 at 11:00 AM, we invite people for a time to learn (or relearn) how to do simple embroidery stitches. We will supply materials, but if you have an embroidery hoop, bring it. If you can help us teach some simple embroidery stitches, please let Mary or Chris know.

Then, once you’ve got the skills, take home a kit (fabric with cat pattern, embroidery floss, needle, embroidery hoop) and embroider the cat design onto the quilt square. Return your finished square in January, and Norma will piece them all together with some colorful connecting fabric. In late winter/early spring we’ll have a quilting bee to finish the quilt, and then we’ll raffle it off.
