Friends of Cook Memorial Library annual meeting,Saturday, September 24, 11:30 AM, outside behind the library. UPDATE: Due to expected high winds, this meeting, lunch, and author talk will be held inside at the Tamworth Town House, three doors down the street from the library.

All are welcome to the Friends’ annual business meeting, followed by a light luncheon, then a talk by Ken Sheldon, author of Deep Water: Murder, Scandal, and Intrigue in a New England Town. Some of you may have seen Ken’s show “Frost Heaves,” where he performs as Fred Marple.

Come learn about the Friends, a 501c3 not-for-profit organization of volunteers that support the library through memberships, fundraising, promoting library use, and helping out at the library in a number of ways. Stay for lunch (provided by the Friends), and then a talk by New Hampshire author Ken Sheldon, whose newest book is a true crime narrative from New Hampshire.

Rain location is the Tamworth Town House.
