The Cook Memorial Library invites the public to “Quetico Connection,” an audiovisual presentation by New Hampshire writer John Doelman, on Wednesday, October 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the library.

A few years ago, Doelman was looking for a place to take a canoeing and fishing trip with his son. He found Quetico Provincial Park in northwest Ontario, which ended up being a profound and inspiring experience that resulted in a book of photography and poetry. In this presentation, Doelman will describe the trip and how it inspired his book. Copies of Doelman’s book, Quetico Connection: Finding Spirit in a Million Acres of Canadian Wilderness, will be available for sale after the presentation.
