Hi everyone,

Juneteenth is this coming Wednesday, and though the library will be closed on this federal holiday, we will be host to a Juneteenth celebration from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Bring family, friends, or yourself to see displays about the holiday and sample traditional Juneteenth celebration food, enjoy (and maybe sing along to) songs by the Silver Lake Singers, and listen to a story told by Andy Davis. Find the celebration outside behind the library where it’s shady in the afternoon. If it’s wicked hot, we can move inside to the cool basement meeting room at the library.

Here’s what’s happening this week at your library:

Mobile Library to Remick Acres, Mon 6/17, 2:00ish PM

Outdoor nature-based storytime, Tues 6/18, 10:30 AM
