Hi everyone,
Maybe you were wishing for something indoors to do this past weekend? Or someplace air conditioned to go last week? Our library has passes for the Wright Museum in Wolfeboro and the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center in Concord. The folks at Libby Museum in Wolfeboro just donated a handful of passes, too. Stop in and ask at the desk if you’re interested. For outdoors fun, we have passes to the Squam Lakes Natural Science center in Holderness. Friends of Cook Memorial Library sponsor the passes.
Here’s what’s happening this week at your library:
Poetry Hour, Mon 6/25, 5:00 PM
Outdoor nature-based storytime, Tues 6/25, 10:30 AM
Board games for summer evenings, Tuesdays, 5:00-8:00 PM
Potluck and book discussion, Tues 6/25, 6:00 PM: We’ll be discussing food memoirs; bring a dish inspired by the book you read.
Mobile Library to Remick Acres, Wed (back to Monday next week) 6/26, 2:00 PM
NH Communities Read Frederick Douglass “What to the Slave is your Fourth of July?” Sat, 6/29, 12 noon: We’re one of the locations for this statewide event coordinated by Black Heritage Trail NH.
