Hi everyone,

This year, our library received a grant to help our library better serve people with disabilities. If you or someone in your household has a disability that affects their ability to use the library or its services, we would love to hear your story so we may add your suggestions to our report and to our proposed use of grant funds. More information about the grant can be found at big news.

Here is what is happening at your library this week:

Mobile Library to Remick Acres, Mon 9/16, 2:00 PM

Board games, Tuesdays, 5:00-8:00 PM

“Extreme Survival,” a talk by author Michael Tougias, Sat 9/21 at 11:00 AM at the Tamworth Town House. This presentation with slides is part of the Friends of Cook Memorial Library annual meeting, which begins with Tougias’ talk, then is followed by a light lunch and the Friends annual business meeting. All are welcome to attend.

Coming up next week:

Furry Friends of New Hampshire, Wed 9/25 at 1:00 PM: Get up close to some touchable furs and bones of local New Hampshire animals- can you guess what they are? New Hampshire Conservation Corps Ranger Kendra will share some fun facts about our wild neighbors, as well as a few Native American stories about some of these creatures that have captured the imagination of storytellers for centuries. This is for all ages.
