Hi everyone,
Thanks to a promising and generous grant opportunity as well as positive responses to our libraries’ existing outreach services, our library is working with the Ossipee Public Library to develop a bookmobile program to bring library services out to the community in our two towns. Right now we are seeking community members to serve on a steering committee to help put together a project proposal for grant applications. We’re looking for people who are interested in helping us with developing vehicle specifications, planning for maintenance and insurance, setting up a foundation or 501c3 organization, fundraising and marketing. Tamworth Town Records Transcribers meeting, Wed 10/23, 6:00 PM: Volunteers who are working on the project will begin with a work session, then meet with project archivist Molly Foye.
One Book One Valley Big Event, Thurs 10/24, 7:00 PM at the Majestic Theatre in Conway Village. Our annual community read will culminate with an evening with Shannon Bowring, author of The Road to Dalton. American Sign Language interpretation will be provided.
