Hi everyone,
Bingo Club begins today; come play for fun and small prizes, 1:00-2:00 PM. This program is offered a result of the training and work we’ve done through a grant from Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities, an American Library Association (ALA) initiative. Based on conversations with our regular library patrons who visit the library as a group through Northern Human Services, we learned that more daytime programs that are open to our whole community are needed. They suggested Bingo, a favorite game for many ages and abilities. If you have something that would work for a small prize for Bingo, we’re collecting donations of items at the library.
Here is what is happening at your library this week:
Bingo Club, Mon 11/4, 1:00-2:00 PM
Mobile Library to Remick Acres, Mon 11/4, 2:00 PM
Bookmobile Committee, Mon 11/4, 4:00 PM
Outdoor nature-based storytime, Tues 11/5, 10:30 AM
Board games, Tuesdays, 5:00-8:00 PM
TTRPG Players Meeting, Sat 11/9, 1:00 PM: Adults (18+) who like to play cooperative table-top role playing games are invited to meet with other players and organize winter games. If you’re interested but cannot come to the meeting, reply to sender to be added to a contact list.
Coming up next week: The library will be closed for regular business on Veterans’ Day, Monday, November 11. We will open for a reception and refreshments right after the 11:00 AM ceremony at the Tamworth Veterans Monument. If you can help set up, clean up, or provide refreshments for the reception, contact Mary at the library or stop in the library to sign up.
