  • For babies
    • 1000 Books Before Kindergarten
    • Baby Bags
    • Baby Lapsit Time for babies and parents/caregivers: On hold during pandemic. Led by Children’s Librarian Amy Carter, this baby time is an opportunity to teach each other rhymes and songs and games that your babies will enjoy and learn from. Amy can help you find books that your baby will enjoy and teach you some easy first signs to use as your baby grows.
  •  Storytimes and other programs for young children
    • Storytimes are held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays outdoors behind the library. (Outdoor storytimes resumed on March 9, 2021.) Contact amy@tamworthlibrary.org or polly@tamworthlibrary.org for more information or to be added to the storytime email list..
    • Yoga class for kids ages 2 to 5 (October-April 9) online via Zoom: Green Turtle Yoga’s Tara Schroeder will teach little kids’ yoga on Fridays at 10:30 through April 9. Yoga won’t meet during school vacations or holidays. Thanks to sponsors Friends of Cook Memorial Library, there is no fee for this program.
  • Kids’ reading clubs

    • Bibliomaniacs: reading club for ages 11. This group is on hold right now. Email Amy Carter at amy@tamworthlibrary.org for more information.
  • 4-H at Cook Library
    • 4-H Tamworth Makers Club: for ages 9 and up, led by UNH Cooperative Extension/4-H’s Claes Thelemarck. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the club is meeting online. Contact Claes at claes.thelemarck@unh.edu for more information about the club.
