story time

As of March 16, 2020 until further notice, all in-person programs are cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic. Online programs are available.

Storytimes are held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays online via Zoom. At the online storytimes, Amy and Polly offer kids and parents a sense of community, continuity and comfort through familiar songs, finger rhymes, and visits with library toys. Read alouds are featured each week, along with outdoor play ideas. Amy and Polly also provide weekly parent emails to share themed play ideas, parent education and resources. Contact or for Zoom storytime login.

Baby Lapsit Time for babies and parents/caregivers: On hold during pandemic. Led by Children’s Librarian Amy Carter, this baby time is an opportunity to teach each other rhymes and songs and games that your babies will enjoy and learn from. Amy can help you find books that your baby will enjoy and teach you some easy first signs to use as your baby grows.

Yoga class for kids ages 2 to 5 (December-March only): Green Turtle Yoga’s Tara Schroeder will teach little kids’ yoga on Fridays at 10:30 during the months of December through March. Yoga won’t meet during school vacations or when SAU 13 schools are closed for bad weather. Thanks to sponsors Friends of Cook Memorial Library, there is no fee for this program.
