Beginning on March 16 and continuing through the end of March, construction to replace the library's lift will take place. Access to the main entrance, children’s room, and meeting rooms will be affected during installation.

On Wednesday, July 30 at 5:30 PM, come to the Cook Memorial Library for a slideshow (yes, actual slides in a carousel) of slides taken in Tamworth at the various events that took place 50 years ago during the U.S. Bicentennial celebrations in 1975 and 1976. You’ll see parades, street dances, banquets, people in period costume, and visitors from Tamworth, Australia! If you were in town at that time, please come help us identify the people shown in the slides. The slides are part of the library’s archive collection.
