Kids’ programs

  • Outdoor Nature-based Storytime for young children, every Tuesday at 10:30 AM outside behind the library. Be sure to dress for the weather! 
  • Reading Clubs for Kids are offered several times each year. Find details on our Reading Clubs page.
  • Summer Reading Program: This summer, we invite you to color your world through reading and other fun activities at the Cook Memorial Library! Our Summer Reading Program offers a spectrum of ways to enjoy reading this summer. Readers of all ages–as well as those who listen or read along–are invited to join our program. All ages programs

Bingo Club, twice a month, 1:00-2:00 PM on Tuesday or Wednesday (see calendar for upcoming days): There’s no cost to come play bingo for small but fun prizes. Meet in the large meeting room. Volunteer bingo callers are needed; see Mary at the library to volunteer.

Board Games, Tuesdays, 5:00-8:00 PM: Teens and adults are invited to come play a variety of board games in our historic front room. Feel free to bring a game you’d like to teach others.

Poetry Hour, last Monday of each month, 5:00-6:00 PM: Come to read or to listen to and talk about poems.

Music on the Lawn, Wednesdays in July through the middle of August, 6:30-7:30 PM: Find the lineup of musicians on our blog post.
