Beginning on March 16 and continuing through the end of March, construction to replace the library's lift will take place. Access to the main entrance, children’s room, and meeting rooms will be affected during installation.

Our library has received two additional grants to go towards replacing the lift that provides accessibility to our lower level community meeting room.

  • The Tamworth Foundation has granted $5,000, with the goal that these funds will be matched by individual donations and fundraising.
  • The Association for Rural & Small Libraries, through the generosity of the Manton Foundation, has granted $15,000 for this project. The estimated cost of replacing the lift is $50,000.

Additional grants have already been secured for this project, and our fundraising goal of $5,000 has been met. The lift is working and has passed inspection, but parts are no longer made for repairing this 25-year-old model, and it’s time to get it replaced. We expect the replacement will take place later this year.
