Our library has received two additional grants to go towards replacing the lift that provides accessibility to our lower level community meeting room.
- The Tamworth Foundation has granted $5,000, with the goal that these funds will be matched by individual donations and fundraising.
- The Association for Rural & Small Libraries, through the generosity of the Manton Foundation, has granted $15,000 for this project. The estimated cost of replacing the lift is $50,000.
Additional grants have already been secured for this project, and our fundraising goal of $5,000 has been met. The lift is working and has passed inspection, but parts are no longer made for repairing this 25-year-old model, and it’s time to get it replaced. We expect the replacement will take place later this year.
