Are you ready for the solar eclipse on April 8? We are!

Get ready for the eclipse day: Come to the library on Saturday, April 6 between 11 and 1 for eclipse-related activities. Make a pin-hole viewer, draw some eclipse chalk art, trace your shadow on our sidewalk, and more.

Eclipse glasses: Beginning on Monday, March 25, we'll have eclipse glasses to give away (limit 2 per family), thanks to STARNet's SEAL (Solar Eclipse Activities for Libraries) program.

Community eclipse observing: On Monday, April 8 between 2:15 and 4:30 PM, we'll gather on the Tamworth History Center's village green to view the eclipse as a community.

Learn more about the April 8 eclipse from UNH’s Observatory and Space Science Center.

Watch this documentary on Kanopy: Chasing Shadows, about Geoff Sims, a professional photographer and astronomer who has captured many eclipses on many continents.
