On Wednesday, August 27 at 8:00 p.m., the Bearcamp Valley Library Association, will show an outdoor movie, “Monty Python & The Holy Grail,” on the lawn behind the Cook Memorial Library. Extending the invitation as a celebration of community, the art of filmmaking, and silliness, the librarians from the respective libraries will provide popcorn, and do encourage viewers to come in costume inspired by the film, and to bring a blanket or chair.
This film showing is sponsored by the Bearcamp Valley Library Association (BVLA), a cooperative of nine area libraries formed in the 1990s that pools resources to select, purchase, and share video and audio materials for lending to library patrons. Library members of BVLA include Conway Public Library, Cook Memorial Library in Tamworth, Effingham Public Library, Freedom Public Library, Jackson Public Library, Madison Library, Moultonborough Public Library, Pope Memorial Library in North Conway, and Samuel H. Wentworth Library in Sandwich.
