Come to our first Tamworth Author Fest on Saturday, July 12, 2025, 10am-2pm at the Cook Memorial Library, sponsored by the Arts Council of Tamworth and the Cook Memorial Library.

At the Tamworth Author Fest you will get to know 13 local authors, hear them read from their work, buy a book or two, enter a raffle to win a stack of books by the participating authors, and learn how some of the authors approach research. We are honored to welcome New Hampshire Poet Laureate Jennifer Militello as our keynote speaker!
The schedule:
- 10-11 meet & greet authors
- 11-11:45 keynote address by Jennifer Millitello, New Hampshire Poet Laureate
- 11:45-12:30 lunch break* and time to visit authors’ tables
- 12:30-1:15 readings by our authors
- 1:30-2:00 panel discussion on research for writing
- 2:00 raffle prize drawing
*You are welcome to bring a picnic lunch. The Tamworth Bakery is nearby, and the Tamworth Farmers’ Market is a short walk away and open from 9am to 12pm. We will have water, lemonade, and cookies available at the library.

The raffle:
Buy a ticket for a chance to win a stack of 10 books, each by a different T.A.F. author! Tickets will be available to purchase at the Tamworth Farmers’ Market on Saturday, July 5, and at the library by the end of June, and on the day of the event. Ticket price is $3 each, or 4 for $10. Raffle prize drawing will be held at 1:25pm on July 12. Proceeds will support the next Tamworth Author Fest!
