For summer 2025, we invited young readers to color their world through reading and other fun activities at the Cook Memorial Library.
This year, instead of individual reading logs, we had a colorful community reading tracker posted on the lift door next to our service desk. For each of the six weeks of the program, we invited summer readers to record one thing related to their reading for the previous week.
Thanks to the Friends of Cook Memorial Library for supporting library programs and to the Children’s Literacy Foundation (CLiF) for grants that foster literacy and the love of reading.
For 2026, we’re planning a Dinosaur-themed Summer Reading Program! Look for more information in June.
