We also invite you to share a time and space devoted to poetry. Our monthly Poetry Hour takes place on the last Monday of the month from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. It is an unscripted gathering where people come to share their own poems, or ones that they have come across recently, or revisit old favorites. Some come just to listen. Sometimes we listen to the same poem two or three times with different readers which is a wonderful way to be reminded to slow down and listen deeply.
This month, we are setting aside three coffee hour morning times, on Mondays April 6, 13, and 20 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. We invite you to explore a poetry writing practice of writing just four lines at a time. Local poet and librarian Peggy Johnson will be on hand to encourage you.
